RANGERS, MARLINS MAKE MINOR SWAP

The Texas Rangers acquired pitcher Eric Jokisch from the Miami Marlins for infielder Pedro Ciriaco.

What does it give the Texas Rangers
In Jokisch, the Rangers acquire a left-hander who still has some untapped upside as a starting pitcher, but who is also capable of pitching out of the bullpen. He is a fairly solid acquisition here in exchange for a depth infielder Texas did not need.

What does it give the Miami Marlins
With second baseman Dee Gordon suspended, the Marlins felt the need for a little more organizational infield depth. Enter Ciriaco, a journeyman with big-league experience who could see some time in MLB later this season if he is needed.

Fantasy impact
Neither Jokisch nor Ciriaco provide much in the way of fantasy appeal, so this deal should not be much of a factor.
