COCO CRISP HEADS BACK TO CLEVELAND

The Cleveland Indians acquired outfielder Coco Crisp from the Oakland Athletics for pitcher Colt Hynes.

What does it give the Cleveland Guardians
This is a good acquisition for Cleveland, since Crisp will add depth in center and left field (Michael Brantley is out for the rest of the season) and could make an impact for a team that has postseason aspirations. Crisp returns to Cleveland, where he toiled from 2002-05.

What does it give the Oakland Athletics
The Athletics decided to move on from the 36-year-old Crisp, who is scheduled to become a free agent this winter. In return, the A's get Hynes (a 31-year-old journeyman left-hander who may be a bullpen option for Oakland in 2017). The A's did not get much in return.

Fantasy impact
Crisp can still make an impact on offense, albeit in very short bursts. He might have one more big fantasy streak in him, so he is worth picking up down the stretch.
