Ramirez should round out the Royals bullpen to begin the 2008 campaign. He has a solid arm, but injuries and inconsistency have so far dogged him. He is a solid addition for a team desperate for more quality relief work.

The Rockies had been trying to deal Ramirez since the start of spring training--not because he's not good, but because of their own bullpen surplus. Therefore, they accepted De la Rosa as a player to be named later.
