He suffered from lack of run support in Houston this year, but should get an extra boost with the hard-hitting Phillies. He joins an impressive rotation with the likes of Roy Halladay and Cole Hamels.

Oswalt was part of the Astros first World Series club in 2005, and he wanted another shot at it, enabling Houston to grant the veteran his wish and parlay it into good investments for the future. Lefty J.A. Happ, shortstop Jonathan Villar, and outfielder Anthony Gose, who the Astros later traded to the Blue Jays for power prospect first baseman Brett Wallace, are all solid players.
