ANOTHER ARM TO K.C. FOR GRAFFANINO

The Milwaukee Brewers acquired infielder Tony Graffanino from the Kansas City Royals for pitcher Jorge De la Rosa.

What does it give the Milwaukee Brewers
One of baseball's true gamers heads to Milwaukee in this one. The gritty veteran can play pretty much any position, though he specializes in the infield these days. The Brewers landed him in order to get through a little rough patch with achy infielders, so he'll serve as a utility man and the Brewers will hope his approach to the game rubs off on their kids.

What does it give the Kansas City Royals
The Royals, wisely, continue to stock up their system with pitchers with potential. The latest to fall into that category is 25-year-old southpaw De la Rosa, who's now got about two years of experience in the majors. He's struggled with his control this year as a reliever and spot-starter but there's still time for the Royals to get him to harness his hot heat and turn him into either a quality reliever or starter.
