ROCKETS GET BOOST AT DRAFT IN SWINGMAN EDWARDS

The Houston Rockets acquired the draft rights to swingman Vincent Edwards from the Utah Jazz for cash considerations.

What does it give the Houston Rockets
Houston's approach depends on skilled guys who can play multiple positions, and the multi-tooled Edwards is a nice fit for that. He's also one of the more NBA-ready second-round picks in this year's draft, so this is a good acquisition for the Rockets.

What does it give the Utah Jazz
The Jazz added a higher-profile wing than Edwards in Round 1 of the Draft (Grayson Allen), and as a maturing contender Utah might not have the roster space or salary cap room for two rookie swingmen.

Fantasy impact
Edwards has some intriguing tools but doesn't stand out much in any one area, so expect him to compete for second-unit minutes on the contending Rockets (at the very most). In other words, don't expect much fantasy-wise from him in 2018-19.
