JUSTIN HOLIDAY HEADS TO MEMPHIS

The Memphis Grizzlies acquired forward/guard Justin Holiday from the Chicago Bulls for forward/guard Wayne Selden, a second-round draft pick in 2019, a second-round draft pick in 2020 and guard/forward MarShon Brooks.

What does it give the Memphis Grizzlies
For the Grizzlies, Holiday adds another wing option for them (plus more outside shooting). A starter with Chicago this season, Holiday is expected to come off the bench with Memphis (though he may push starting shooting guard Garrett Temple for his place in the starting five). Holiday is a decent addition to the struggling Grizz.

What does it give the Chicago Bulls
Many expected forward Jabari Parker to be the next Bulls player traded, but instead it is Holiday. In return, the Bulls were able to secure two second rounders in the trade. They also get Selden, a versatile player who should become part of Chicago's rotation (unless he is traded or waived at some point). Brooks will be waived by Chicago.

Fantasy impact
This trade really hurts Holiday's fantasy value, as he now goes from starting at small forward every night for Chicago to a bench role in Memphis. Conversely, Selden may see his stock rise. Brooks will likely land on his feet but will probably remain at the back of an NBA bench. Temple may also be hurt by this deal.
