What does it give the Philadelphia 76ers
For Philadelphia, adding Ennis III is huge because of a lack of bench scoring options right now. He should play an important role down the stretch for Philadelphia as a backup swingman behind both Jimmy Butler and JJ Redick. This is a good move by Philly.
What does it give the Houston Rockets
For the Rockets, clearly the team felt comfortable with its wing depth after acquiring Iman Shumpert from the Kings recently. With Austin Rivers and Gerald Green also in the fold, Ennis III was not likely to receive a lot of minutes down the stretch.
Fantasy impact
Whether coming off the bench in Philadelphia or Houston, Ennis III's fantasy value should remain the same. He is not a great option but should be a consideration in very deep league formats.
