DARIO SARIC SENT TO PHOENIX

The Phoenix Suns acquired forward Dario Saric and guard/forward Cameron Johnson from the Minnesota Timberwolves for guard Jarrett Culver.

What does it give the Phoenix Suns
The Suns were expected to use the sixth overall pick on a point guard (a major team need). Instead, they acquire Saric (a stretch 4 power forward, which was another area of need for Phoenix) and moved down five spots in the first round. Phoenix is now expected to fill their hole at the floor general position with a veteran via free agency.

What does it give the Minnesota Timberwolves
Saric did not last very long with the Timberwolves, after coming over from Philadelphia in the Jimmy Butler trade this past regular season. Saric was sacrificed in order for Minnesota to move up five spots to No. 6. The T'wolves have a need at power forward now with Saric gone, but felt the need to someone with Culver's talent and makeup.

Fantasy impact
Saric seems like a nice fit in Phoenix, who have a legit center in DeAndre Ayton to team up with him (much like how Saric was paired with Joel Embiid with Philadelphia). Look for Saric to blossom in the Desert.
