BAZEMORE FOR EVAN TURNER
The Portland Trail Blazers acquired guard/forward Kent Bazemore from the Atlanta Hawks for guard/forward Evan Turner.
What does it give the Portland Trail Blazers
This is a fairly even swap. Both players are 30 and both make the same salary ($17.5 million). Bazemore is more of a scorer than Turner and figures to see plenty of minutes behind CJ McCollum and Maurice Harkless on the wings.
What does it give the Atlanta Hawks
For the Hawks, Turner seems like a better fit for their young squad. He played three positions in Portland (PG, SG and SF) and may do the same in Atlanta. Bazemore was basically out of the rotation by the end of last season.
Fantasy impact
Bazemore's fantasy value should rise by moving to a contending team in the Western Conference. His game seems tailor-made for the Trail Blazers. He is worth a late-round draft pick in many leagues. As for Turner, he will play more of a facilitating role in Atlanta and has a lot less value than Bazemore at this time.
