MILES MOVED FOR DWIGHT HOWARD
The Washington Wizards acquired guard/forward CJ Miles from the Memphis Grizzlies for center Dwight Howard.
What does it give the Washington Wizards
The Wizards will use Miles as a shooting specialist off the bench. He will provide valuable experience and scoring to a young team that will likely play most (if not all) of 2019-20 without star point guard John Wall (Achilles).
What does it give the Memphis Grizzlies
The Grizzlies plan on trading or waiving Howard, so his time in Memphis is expected to be very short. The 33-year-old veteran was limited to just nine NBA games in 2019-20, so he may have trouble landing another gig.
Fantasy impact
Miles has very little fantasy value, even if his minutes rise as a member of the Wizards in 2019-20. As for Howard, he should no longer be drafted in most fantasy leagues. He needs to find a new NBA home, which may not be easy.
