ARIZA ADDED BY THE TRAIL BLAZERS

The Portland Trail Blazers acquired forward Trevor Ariza, forward/center Caleb Swanigan and forward Wenyen Gabriel from the Sacramento Kings for forward/guard Kent Bazemore, center/forward Anthony Tolliver, a second-round draft pick in 2024 and a second-round draft pick in 2025.

What does it give the Portland Trail Blazers
For the Blazers, the key to this trade is Ariza, a versatile player with a lot of experience and the ability to come off the bench. Swanigan returns to Portland, where he was the 26th overall pick in 2017 before being traded to Sacramento. As for Gabriel, the 22-year-old forward is more of a project at this point.

What does it give the Sacramento Kings
For the Kings, Bazemore gives them a little more shooting range than Ariza (when Bazemore is on) and Tolliver provides inside presence as either a center or power forward. The two second-round picks were also keys to this deal from a Sacramento perspective. This trade may help both teams.

Fantasy impact
Ariza may see more minutes in Portland, who have been beset with injuries this season. However, his stock is not likely to spike up too much. Bazemore could see a drop in playing time, while Tolliver is mostly a backup with little fantasy value. Swanigan and Gabriel are on the keeper radar but neither is recommendable at this time.
