SIXERS BRING IN BURKS AND ROBINSON III

The Philadelphia 76ers acquired guard Alec Burks and forward/guard Glenn Robinson III from the Golden State Warriors for a second-round draft pick in 2020, a second-round draft pick in 2021 and a second-round draft pick in 2022.

What does it give the Philadelphia 76ers
The Sixers have underachieved a little in the first half of 2019-20, and were losers of three in a row heading into the trade deadline. So, they were expected to make a move. Adding Burks and Robinson should help Philadelphia, as both players are versatile and should bring something to the table. Burks is more of a scorer who should come off the bench, while Robinson III does a bit of everything and can play virtually any position. Philly now needs to either trade or waive two players to open up the roster spots needed to bring in both players.

What does it give the Golden State Warriors
The Warriors have had a miserable 2019-20 campaign, so it stands to reason that they decided to unload a few players before the trade deadline. Both Burks and Robinson III were serviceable players for Golden State this season, but with the team going nowhere they moved them on. In return, the Warriors will receive the Mavericks' second-round pick in '20, Denver's second-round pick in '21 and Toronto's second in '22. It also takes two salaries off the books for Golden State. Expect the Warriors to perhaps make more moves before the deadline.

Fantasy impact
Both Burks and Robinson III will likely see fewer minutes on a stronger 76ers team than what they were logging in Golden State, so a fantasy drop-off is likely for both here. Still, Burks can score so he should continue to be a consideration in deeper fantasy leagues.
