NAPIER FOR McRAE
The Washington Wizards acquired guard Shabazz Napier from the Denver Nuggets for forward/guard Jordan McRae.
What does it give the Washington Wizards
In Napier, the Wizards land a natural point guard who can play a solid role as a backup. Washington is still waiting for John Wall to return from injury, so Napier figures to be part of the Wizards rotation along with Isaiah Thomas and possibly Ish Smith down the stretch.
What does it give the Denver Nuggets
Adding McRae gives Denver yet another wing player who can score. At this time, it appears that McRae will merely provide depth for the Nuggets. He will have to scrap for his minutes behind the likes of Gary Harris, Will Barton, Torrey Craig and Michael Porter Jr.
Fantasy impact
Neither Napier nor McRae becomes a viable fantasy option with their new respective teams, so both should be left on the waiver wire or free agent bin at this time.
