TONY BRADLEY FOR ZHAIRE SMITH

The Philadelphia 76ers acquired center Tony Bradley from the Detroit Pistons for guard/forward Zhaire Smith.

What does it give the Philadelphia 76ers
Bradley gives Philadelphia a third natural center behind superstar Joel Embiid and veteran free agent acquisition Dwight Howard. That is a bit weird, considering their new president of basketball operations is Daryl Morey, whose Houston Rockets played mostly without a center last season. That said, This is a good move for the 76ers (not necessarily getting Bradley, but not abandoning the center position completely).

What does it give the Detroit Pistons
It remains to be seen whether Smith will have a role with the Pistons, since he struggled to find one in Philadelphia. The fact Detroit gave up on Bradley so quickly after acquiring him from Utah suggests that they never had any intention of keeping him around. Therefore, this trade could end up being merely a financial transaction for the Pistons (who have done quite a bit of interesting moves this off-season).

Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact to speak of here, as neither Bradley nor Smith will likely play enough minutes to become fantasy factors in 2020-21.
