DANILO GALLINARI GOES TO ATLANTA

The Atlanta Hawks acquired forward Danilo Gallinari and cash from the Oklahoma City Thunder for a conditional second-round draft pick in 2025.

What does it give the Atlanta Hawks
It was a major coup for Atlanta to be able to come to terms with Gallinari on a new contract. He provides the club with another excellent scoring option behind budding superstar point guard Trae Young. Look for Gallinari to come off the bench as the Hawks' new sixth man.

What does it give the Oklahoma City Thunder
Once it became clear that Gallinari was signing with Atlanta, Oklahoma City did its best to minimize the damage. By throwing in some cash here, they were able to land a second-rounder in '25. That alone will not replacement Gallinari's production, though.

Fantasy impact
Despite the likelihood that Gallinari will come off the bench in Atlanta, his fantasy value should remain high. Draft him with confidence, as the Hawks might be the most improved team in the NBA this season.
