ELIJAH HUGHES HEADED TO UTAH

The Utah Jazz acquired forward Elijah Hughes from the New Orleans Pelicans for a second-round draft pick in 2022 and cash.

What does it give the Utah Jazz
The Jazz obviously like the No. 39 overall pick in this year's draft. Hughes can be a swingman at the NBA level and, with Bojan Bognanovic questionable to start 2020-21 due to injury, stands a chance to be part of the rotation as a rookie. He may have landed in a good spot.

What does it give the New Orleans Pelicans
The Pelicans have done a nice job of moving out recent draft picks for futures, since their current roster is all but set. New Orleans has the look of a contender right now, so they did well to move out young draftee Hughes for cash and a second in '22.

Fantasy impact
There is not likely to be a major fantasy impact here right away, as Hughes must first get his feet wet in the NBA waters as a raw rookie. However, he does have some keeper appeal and should be a late-round flier in deeper formats. He might surprise.
