GRIZZ, BUCKS SWAP SHOOTING GUARDS

The Memphis Grizzlies acquired guard Sam Merrill and two future second-round draft picks from the Milwaukee Bucks for guard Grayson Allen and cash.

What does it give the Memphis Grizzlies
The Grizzlies land Merrill, a shooter who spent most of his rookie season in Milwaukee on the bench watching his teammates win a championship. He should play a lot more in Memphis and could become a regular part of the rotation in 2021-22.

What does it give the Milwaukee Bucks
In Allen, the Bucks get a more experienced shooting guard who is less than a year older than Merrill. Like Merrill, however, Allen will have to work hard to earn his minutes with the defending NBA champions. The Bucks also got back some cash in this deal.

Fantasy impact
Merrill is probably the better fantasy option than Allen for '21-22, since the latter will likely have less competition for playing time than the former.
