BROGDON BROUGHT IN BY BOSTON

The Boston Celtics acquired guard Malcolm Brogdon from the Indiana Pacers for guard/forward Aaron Nesmith, center Daniel Theis, forwards Malik Fitts and Juwan Morgan, guard Nik Stauskas and a first-round draft pick in 2023.

What does it give the Boston Celtics
The Celtics add a very solid combo guard with plenty of starting experience in Brogdon. Boston now has four guards with the potential to be a starter: Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Derrick White and Brogdon.

What does it give the Indiana Pacers
The first-round pick in next year's draft is definitely the key to the deal from Indiana's perspective. Nesmith, Theis, Fitts, Morgan and Stauskas all have the ability to become part of the Pacers' rotation but will they?

Fantasy impact
Brogdon is no higher than third on the Celtics' guard totem pole, so his fantasy value may not be ideal with Boston. All the other players involved in this deal should not be drafted in 2022. However, keep an eye on Nesmith, who might have more fantasy upside than the other players sent to Indiana.
