The Toronto Raptors acquired center Primoz Brezec from the Detroit Pistons for guard Juan Dixon.
What does it give the Toronto Raptors
For the Raptors this is a solid little deal. They have been manhandled in the paint by bigger teams this season, and Brezec can both score and rebound effectively under the basket. They also get to move a spare part in Dixon who wasn't really happy with his situation.
What does it give the Detroit Pistons
Dixon is a solid professional who is a good fit for the playoff-bound Pistons. They dealt from an area of depth (their big-men) to pick up a good combo guard who can help them win in their thin backcourt.
