This trade provides Sacramento with added depth on the wing. Edwards was seeing little playing time in Brooklyn but could carve out a bench role with the Kings.
What does it give the Brooklyn Nets
The Nets created some cap space and opened up a roster spot with this trade. They recently traded Kyrie Irving to Dallas, so they might not be done making big moves before the deadline.
Fantasy impact
Edwards can be safely ignored in most fantasy basketball leagues. He has some upside but will need to become part of the Kings' rotation. That may not occur until 2023-24. Michineau is unsigned and may not make the move to the NBA...ever.
