MONTA, BOGUT HIGHLIGHT 5-PLAYER SWAP

The Milwaukee Bucks acquired combo guard Monta Ellis and centers Ekpe Udoh and Kwame Brown from the Golden State Warriors for center Andrew Bogut and swingman Stephen Jackson.

What does it give the Milwaukee Bucks
Ellis is a proven star playmaker and scorer, so he'll step right in alongside young {P Brandon Jennings} to form a top-tier backcourt. Meanwhile Udoh is quietly emerging as a very promsing defensive center, and he should eventually take over as the starter (next season if not this). Above all the Bucks move a lot of salary here, money that was tied up over the next two seasons in an injury-prone star (Bogut) and for one more season in a fading, ill-fitting vet (Jackson). Brown's expiring deal makes the money add up, but he won't likely be a factor for Milwaukee.

What does it give the Golden State Warriors
For a long time now the Warriors have tried to find an answer at center, and in Bogut they now have a proven two-way star (if a currently injured and injury-prone one). Ellis and point guard {P Stephen Curry} sometimes didn't mesh ideally since both dominate the ball, so filling a key need (center) with a star is a nice move here. Fantasy-wise this could mean {P Andris Biedrins} starts until Bogut is healthy (which may not be soon), but it also opens a spot in the starting five for promising rookie swingman {P Klay Thompson}. Expect {P Dorell Wright} to also get a boost. Jackson was once a leader for Golden State, so maybe he can get back on track there.
