The Oklahoma City Thunder acquired guard Victor Oladipo, a second-round draft pick in 2029 and a second-round draft pick in 2030 from the Miami Heat for cash considerations.
What does it give the Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder are helping Miami financially here, but for a price. Landing two more future second-rounders is the cost of adding veteran Oladipo, who may or may not be part of the Thunder this season. It will probably depend on his health.
What does it give the Miami Heat
The Heat are planning a big move this off-season in order to land a third star to complement Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. So they needed Oladipo to come off the books. Miami added Josh Richardson but more moves are coming. Stay tuned.
Fantasy impact
Oladipo is not reliable in fantasy (or real-life) basketball these days. Injuries have wreaked havoc with his playing career. Therefore, do not bother drafting him this year.
