HARRINGTON AND CRAWFORD MOVE
The New York Knicks acquired forward Al Harrington from the Golden State Warriors for guard Jamal Crawford.
What does it give the New York Knicks
In Harrington, the Knicks receive a big man who is used to playing in an up-tempo offense. He can play either power forward or center, but under head coach Mike D'Antoni he may serve as the team's starting center. He is a nice defensive upgrade over the Knicks' current big men.
What does it give the Golden State Warriors
In Crawford the Warriors receive a shooting guard who can light it up quickly--but run stone cold just as quickly. He'll likely challenge rookie Anthony Morrow for the starting shooting guard role.
