For the Thunder, this trade provides them with more experience, defensive acumen and a winning attitude. Caruso won a championship with the Lakers in 2020, so his presence should greatly help the young Thunder.
What does it give the Chicago Bulls
For the Bulls, adding a young talent like Giddey was a necessity–since Chicago's roster is likely to look radically different in 2024-25. Giddey, who mostly played shooting guard in OKC, might be given the keys to the offense.
Fantasy impact
Caruso provides non-scoring stats, but it might not be enough to be worthy of selection in many fantasy leagues this season. As for Giddey, his fantasy stock is on the rise after this trade. He could be a sneaky-good choice for the middle rounds.
