RUSH GOES TO GOLDEN STATE FOR AMUNDSON

The Golden State Warriors acquired swingman Brandon Rush from the Indiana Pacers for forward-center Lou Amundson.

What does it give the Golden State Warriors
He does a little bit of everything well, so Rush should be a valued member of the Warriors' rotation. He can play several positions well and has starter talent, and Rush's ability to score fits in well with Golden State's high-octane approach. Both Rush and Amundson have affordable contracts that expire following this season.

What does it give the Indiana Pacers
The Pacers obviously grew tired of Rush's tendency to be erratic (both in his on-court play and his off-court behavior) and Paul George's emergence made Rush expendable. Amundson is a gritty role player who brings a lot of hustle to either the center or power forward spot, and his defense and rebounding will be welcome additions off the bench (or possibly starting in some situations) for Indy.
