CAPTAIN JACK & RAJA BELL MOVE IN 4-PLAYER SWAP

The Golden State Warriors acquired guard Raja Bell and forward Vladimir Radmanovic from the Charlotte Bobcats for guard/forward Stephen Jackson and guard Acie Law.

What does it give the Golden State Warriors
Jackson had made it very clear--and public--that he wanted out of Golden State, and this deal gives him his wish. Besides clearing up the team chemistry and public relations issues Jackson created, this deal also gets his long-term deal off the books for a young and somewhat rebuilding squad. Radmanovic and Bell don't bring Jackson's offense, but both are perimeter shooters who should fit fairly well into head coach Don Nelson's offense thanks to their perimeter shooting. Bell will also provide veteran leadership and defense (once his wrist injury is healed).

What does it give the Charlotte Hornets
The Bobcats are desperate for dependable scoring and that's what Jackson brings. His long history of behavior issues is a concern, but Bobs head coach Larry Brown has shown the ability in past to deal with those issues. Jackson should start right away for Charlotte at shooting guard, while Law can provide some solid reserve play at both guard spots.
