NETS GET REBOUNDING REGGIE IN PICK SWAP
The Brooklyn Nets acquired forward Reggie Evans from the Los Angeles Clippers for the right to swap second round draft picks with Brooklyn in 2016.
What does it give the Brooklyn Nets
Evans isn't a star but he's one of the toughest rebounders in the NBA, and most teams can use a player like him off the bench. With the Nets trying to get more competitive right away, Evans is a nice add who can help make up for the fact that center {P Brook Lopez} isn't a monster on the boards. Fellow newcomer {P Mirza Teletovic} might start at power forward, but Evans should still be a busy role player.
What does it give the Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers landed {P Lamar Odom} this off-season so they didn't need Evans as their top rebounder off the bench anymore. The pick swap option is seemingly just a formality (and won't do much for L.A. down the road) but they at least get something for letting Evans go.
