KNICKS BRING BACK CAMBY, MOVE THREE

The New York Knicks acquired center Marcus Camby from the Houston Rockets for guard Toney Douglas, center Jerome Jordan, power forward Josh Harrellson, and second-round draft picks in 2014 and 2015..

What does it give the New York Knicks
Reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year {P Tyson Chandler} was a true bright spot for the Knicks last season but he may be a little worn out early next season after playing in the Olympics. That makes Camby a fantastic depth addition at center, and as a former DPoY himself, he can share his knowledge with Chandler. Camby is also a clubhouse leader, so all-in-all this deal makes a lot of sense for the Knicks.

What does it give the Houston Rockets
This is just the latest of several trades by the Rockets, who now have too many players on their roster and are rumored to still be very interested in trading for superstar center {P Dwight Howard}. With that in mind it's hard to know which of the three players they get here will stick around, but Douglas seems likely to (since he brings much-needed backcourt depth with {P Kyle Lowry} gone). The picks won't likely bring top players but they're a nice bonus.
