ROCKETS MOVING AGAIN!
The Houston Rockets acquired forward Sergei Lishchuk from the Memphis Grizzlies for center Malick Badiane, small forward Marcus Vinicius and cash considerations.
What does it give the Houston Rockets
In Lishchuk the Rockets get an emerging big-man whom they have obviously been scouting. He was a second-round pick back in 2004, and Houston's recent success with Luis Scola might have motivated them to look for another overseas gem here.
What does it give the Memphis Grizzlies
The rebuilding Grizz add an intriguing prospect in Vinicius, who wowed a lot of scouts before the 2006 draft but never really caught on with the Hornets. The Rockets picked him up earlier from New Orleans and flip him here to the Grizz, who obviously still like his potential as a wing scorer and outside shooter. Meanwhile Badiane is also a talented overseas big-man who may eventully come over and join and increasingly internations Memphis roster.
