MALCOM LEE MOVES AGAIN, LANDING IN PHOENIX
The Phoenix Suns acquired shooting guard Malcolm Lee and the rights to shooting guard Archie Goodwin from the Golden State Warriors for the rights to combo guard Nemanja Nedovic.
What does it give the Phoenix Suns
Lee has some untapped potential as an NBA shooting guard but needs to show he's fully healthy coming off a significant knee injury. If he can do that he can provide the Suns with a very solid rotation guy for their rebuilding young squad. That said, this deal is probably more about first-round pick Goodwin, who is very raw and probably years away from prime time but may have starter talent.
What does it give the Golden State Warriors
Nedovic ends up as the player the Warriors get after several moves, and he is probably worth all the wheeling and dealing. A very athletic guard who can play both backcourt positions well, he has an NBA-style game that should translate well in a few years.
Fantasy impact
Even if Lee gets fully healthy he isn't a very viable fantasy option (due to the probability of little playing time in 2013-14). Nedovic and Goodwin are both long-range keeper types who definitely have talent, but unless leagues are very deep it's probably not worth considering either of them for fantasy anytime soon.
