JAZZ NET NETO IN DEAL WITH HAWKS

The Utah Jazz acquired the draft rights to point guard Raul Neto from the Atlanta Hawks for a second-round draft pick in 2015.

What does it give the Utah Jazz
Utah is potentially looking at a lot of turnover in the backcourt this off-season, so bringing in talented (but raw) Neto as a long-term depth move makes sense. The pick they move here originally belonged to Brookyn, so the Jazz lose little while getting the rights to an emerging talent at the point position. Expect Neto to be new starter {P Trey Burke}'s backup a few years from now.

What does it give the Atlanta Hawks
The Hawks did a lot of wheeling and dealing during this year's draft and clearly they weren't interested in keeping their later second-round picks. Getting a future second-rounder is fair value for a second-rounder this year.

Fantasy impact
Neto is a pretty slick, athletic, and efficient playmaker but he significantly lacks NBA size. He will probably be given time to bulk up and keep working on his game, but is a solid pickup by Utah here. Don't expect him to make much noise fantasy-wise anytime soon, however.
