CELTS MOVE DAVIS AND ZAGORAC TO MEMPHIS FOR FUTURE 1ST-ROUNDER

The Memphis Grizzlies acquired the rights to center / power forward Deyonta Davis and guard / forward Rade Zagorac from the Boston Celtics for a first-round draft pick in 2019.

What does it give the Memphis Grizzlies
This is a very strong trade for Memphis, for a simple reason: Davis and Zagorac both have first-round talent. It's unclear exactly why Davis fell so much in this draft--probably more than any other top prospect--but he has raw star talent. That said, so does Zagorac; he's a Manu Ginobili type of playmaking wing / guard whose game should translate superbly to the NBA. Nice move all-round by the Grizz.

What does it give the Boston Celtics
The Celtics were overstocked with picks in this year's draft and didn't have room to keep them all, so they smartly add a future first-rounder. That said, they might one day regret this one since both Davis and Zagorac are highly talented prospects.

Fantasy impact
The Grizz remains a veteran-focused team (for now) so neither of Davis nor Zagorac should be counted on for much production in Year 1. That said, both have definite sleeper keeper appeal for the future.
