76ERS ADD ANOTHER CENTER IN PLEISS
The Philadelphia 76ers acquired center Tibor Pleiss, two second-round draft picks and cash considerations from the Utah Jazz for guard Kendall Marshall.
What does it give the Philadelphia 76ers
For the Sixers, this deal adds two more draft picks to the rebuilding squad, plus yet another big man in Pleiss. Philadelphia might choose to keep Pleiss because they are expected to deal at least one (and perhaps two) of their talented big men (Jahlil Okafor, Nerlens Noel and Joel Embiid). They also received cash from Utah.
What does it give the Utah Jazz
For the Jazz, moving Pleiss makes sense after the acquisition of Boris Diaw and also the arrival of Joel Bolomboy via the draft. Utah had too many big men, so shipping out Pleiss was a solid decision at this time. Marshall was waived shortly after his acquisition, so he is not a factor in this transaction.
Fantasy impact
Pleiss has no fantasy value because he arguably moves to a club with even greater center depth. This move slightly improves the fantasy value of Bolomboy, though he is viewed more as a long-range project at this time.
