JAZZ LAND HENDERSON
The Utah Jazz acquired forward-center Alan Henderson and cash from the Philadelphia 76ers for the right to switch second-round draft picks in 2007.
What does it give the Utah Jazz
Not much. The Deseret Morning News reports the Jazz will likely waive Henderson, so all they're really getting is (seemingly) the right to upgrade their 2007 second-round draft pick. Utah got some cash in the deal, which seems to be for paying off part of the rest of Henderson's contract (which runs out this season).
What does it give the Philadelphia 76ers
A way to get avoid paying the rest of Henderson's salary. The veteran is set to become an unrestricted free agent and obviously wasn't in Philly's future plans, and he was barely playing for them this season. The Sixers appear to be giving Utah the better second-round pick in order for the Jazz paying off much of Henderson's remaining deal.
