Jones will not return to Sunday's preseason game against Denver due to a shoulder injury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
The Cardinals elevated Jones to their active roster Saturday, Howard Balzer of GoPHNX.com reports.
The undrafted running back has been more impressive in training camps than during the regular season, and has yet to show the same kind of production when the bell rings (although injuries have been a factor). He is short but strong and has demonstrated good vision and enough explosiveness to land an NFL job. Is not a finesse back, so he has to hit the hole hard and finish his runs.
Long Range Potential: Backup running back.
