CARDINALS LAND CORNERBACK COOPER

The Arizona Cardinals acquired cornerback Marcus Cooper from the Kansas City Chiefs for a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2018.

What does it give the Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals have a slight issue at right cornerback, opposite star Patrick Peterson, since Justin Bethel has battled injuries during training camp and Brandon Williams is a bit raw. So, Cooper should add more depth this season.

What does it give the Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs were likely going to release Cooper, so they did well to land a conditional late pick in return. Kansas City feels comfortable with their cornerback depth moving forward, so they were able to move on from Cooper.

Fantasy impact
Cooper is not likely to play enough to become a fantasy factor in leagues that utilize the IDP (individual defensive player) format.
