MIAMI TRADES FOR TIGHT END THOMAS

The Miami Dolphins acquired tight end Julius Thomas from the Jacksonville Jaguars for a seventh-round draft pick in 2017.

What does it give the Miami Dolphins
Thomas should provide a legitimate upgrade at the tight end position for Miami, who have struggled in recent years to get ample production at the position. Thomas was a major force for the Denver Broncos from 2011-14, so the Dolphins are hoping he can revive his career in South Florida.

What does it give the Jacksonville Jaguars
Thomas was a total bust with the Jaguars, so it is no surprise that his trade value sunk to new depths. Still, it is a bit surprising that Jacksonville was not able to land anything more than a seventh-round draft pick in exchange for his services. Clearly, they just wanted to get rid of Thomas.

Fantasy impact
Thomas has plenty of bounce-back fantasy appeal heading into 2017, and he could fall under the radar in a lot of drafts. His excellent past performances in Denver are worthy of taking a chance on, so do not forget his name on draft day, 2017.
