EAGLES ADD D-TACKLE JERNIGAN FROM RAVENS

The Philadelphia Eagles acquired defensive lineman Timmy Jernigan and a 3rd-round draft pick in 2017 (No. 99 overall) from the Baltimore Ravens for a 3rd-round draft pick in 2017 (No. 74 overall).

What does it give the Philadelphia Eagles
Losing Bennie Logan and Connor Barwin this off-season made adding a quality defensive lineman a must for Baltimore, and they get one in Jernigan. An all-round producer who's versatile and still very young, Jernigan should step in as a starter immediately for the Eagles. He's bit of a steal here for Philly considering the bargain rate the team paid.

What does it give the Baltimore Ravens
Earlier this off-season the Ravens signed new starting D-tackle Brandon Williams, and that effectively made Jernigan expendable. With that in mind this is a cost-saving move for Baltimore, one that also opens up a little more opportunity on the defensive line for the likes of Michael Pierce, Willie Henry, and Carl Davis. Moving up a tick in the middle of the draft is a nice bonus too.

Fantasy impact
Jernigan is a productive player but fantasy-wise he's only useful in formats that include individual defensive players (and even so, Jernigan isn't exactly a stat stuffer--like most defensive tackles). With that in mind there's not much fantasy impact here all-round.
