BEAST MODE HEADS HOME TO OAKLAND

The Oakland Raiders acquired running back Marshawn Lynch and a 6th-round draft pick in 2018 from the Seattle Seahawks for a 5th-round draft pick in 2018.

What does it give the Las Vegas Raiders
This is a low-risk, potentially high-reward move by the Raiders. At age 31 'Beast Mode' is over the hill in traditional running back terms, but that probably won't affect him as much as it does other pro tailbacks. He doesn't rely on foot speed the way many others do, and his time away from the game over the past season should mean he's more fresh than most guys his age. He's also originally from Oakland, so should be a popular fan focus who can take pressure off the Raiders' other offensive playamkers. Moreover, this is a team that needed an established No. 1 running back.

What does it give the Seattle Seahawks
This trade must be a bit tough for some Seattle fans, but they were likely resigned a year ago to Lynch not returning. That makes the draft pick upgrade the Seahawks get here a bit of gravy that will help a little in the future. With Eddie Lacy in the fold, Seattle has moved on and should be fine in the backfield.

Fantasy impact
Lynch should probably still be drafted in the top 16 among tailbacks, since he'll likely pile up touchdowns for the Raiders. His arrival in Oakland severely saps any fantasy value had by Jalen Richard, DeAndre Washington, and Taiwan Jones. Little changes fantasy-wise in Seattle.
