BILLS ADD DEPTH AT WR WITH KAELIN CLAY

The Buffalo Sabres acquired wide receiver Kaelin Clay and a 7th-round draft pick in 2019 from the Carolina Panthers for cornerback Kevon Seymour.

What does it give the Buffalo Bills
The Bills are not very deep at wide receiver, so the hope is that Clay can find a role with his new team and stick with the club for the entire 2017 season. Clay has speed and some playmaking ability, so he is well worth taking a flier on.

What does it give the Carolina Panthers
The Panthers felt comfortable enough with their depth situation at wide receiver, so they decided to send Clay to Buffalo and receive added depth for their secondary in the form of Seymour. This deal filled holes on both sides.

Fantasy impact
Clay could receive more opportunities in Buffalo, but not enough to be a recommendable fantasy option in most leagues. For now, keep him on the fantasy radar and monitor his progress with the Bills.
