BILLS DEAL DT DAREUS TO THE JAGUARS

The Jacksonville Jaguars acquired defensive tackle Marcell Dareus from the Buffalo Bills for a conditional sixth-round draft pick in 2018.

What does it give the Jacksonville Jaguars
This is yet another stud acquisition for a Jaguars defense that already boasts plenty of them. Dareus should help the Jags against the run, which is something they have struggled with so far in 2017. Expect Dareus to replace Abry Jones at right defensive tackle, between left defensive tackle Malik Jackson and right end Calais Campbell. That is one formidable group up front for Jacksonville.

What does it give the Buffalo Bills
The Bills decided to part ways with their No. 3 overall selection in the 2011 NFL Draft mostly for monetary reasons. Dareus is the latest player from Buffalo's previous regime to be sent packing, following the likes of wide receiver Sammy Watkins (Rams), cornerback Ronald Darby (Eagles) and linebacker Reggie Ragland (Chiefs). Adolphus Washington will likely replace Dareus at defensive tackle.

Fantasy impact
Dareus may have a little more fantasy value in individual defensive player leagues now that he joins one of the best defenses in the NFL. However, his true fantasy impact may not happen until 2018.
