BROWNS KEEP DEALING, TRADE CB TAYLOR TO CARDS
The Arizona Cardinals acquired cornerback Jamar Taylor from the Cleveland Browns for a 6th-round draft pick in 2020.
What does it give the Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals entered the off-season in need of a veteran cover cornerback to play opposite star Patrick Peterson, and they get one here in Taylor. While he isn't quite the playmaker Peterson is, Taylor is a proven performer who can take the heat off Peterson and the rest of the Cards secondary.
What does it give the Cleveland Browns
Arguably no team has overhauled this off-season as much as Cleveland, and that continues here. After adding rookie cornerback Denzel Ward with the No. 4 overall selection of this year's draft, the Browns made Taylor and his fairly pricey contract available. Expect Ward to compete for the right to replace Taylor as a starter.
Fantasy impact
Neither of Taylor nor his likely replacement (Denzel Ward) looks likely to be a big numbers producer in 2018, so even in fantasy leagues with Individual Defensive Players this deal has little fantasy impact.
