BUSH ON HIS WAY TO MIAMI
The Miami Dolphins acquired running back Reggie Bush from the New Orleans Saints for safety Jonathon Amaya and an undisclosed draft pick.
What does it give the Miami Dolphins
In Miami Bush may get the chance to prove himself as the hybrid offensive weapon the 'Phins need to be a contender. In any case, he brings a lot of versatility to the Miami offense (at least when he's healthy), and may enjoy a resurgence to his career in an offense that is likely to be more run-friendly than the Saints' was. Expect this move to make rookie Daniel Thomas a much less busy back than expected in 2011.
What does it give the New Orleans Saints
It was written in the sky as soon as the Saints drafted Mark Ingram (28th overall this year) that Bush was on his way out of New Orleans. Not only did they cut salary cap by sending Bush away but the Saints end up with a solid (if not stellar) safety in Amaya. The sophomore won't make an impact right way but he definitely has a future in the NFL. The undisclosed draft pick is a bonus.
