PANTHERS PLUCK OL NEWHOUSE FROM BUFFALO

The Carolina Panthers acquired offensive tackle/guard Marshall Newhouse from the Buffalo Bills for a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2021.

What does it give the Carolina Panthers
The Panthers have been beset with injuries to their offensive line in the early going this season, so the addition of Newhouse makes sense. He will probably serve as a swing tackle and back up current starters Taylor Moton (LT) and Chris Clark (RT) in Carolina.

What does it give the Buffalo Bills
The Bills cut bait with Newhouse, who struggled in his brief appearances in 2018. The team may or may not receive a seventh-round pick in exchange, but the club felt comfortable moving on from Newhouse (who was strictly a backup) regardless of the return.

Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact here, as Newhouse is an offensive lineman who may only be pressed for duty if injuries continue to pile up in Carolina.
