THOMAS TRADED TO HOUSTON

The Houston Texans acquired wide receiver Demaryius Thomas and a seventh-round draft pick in 2019 from the Denver Broncos for a fourth-round draft pick in 2019 and a seventh-round draft pick in 2019.

What does it give the Houston Texans
The Texans lost wide receiver Will Fuller V to a torn ACL recently, so adding Thomas before this year's NFL trade deadline makes sense. Now, Houston must hope that Thomas can turn his season around in his new digs (he was struggling with the Broncdos this season).

What does it give the Denver Broncos
For Denver, this is a signal of a retool, even if the club still wants to make the playoffs. Trading Thomas is a little easier to do with rookie Courtland Sutton in the fold. The Broncos will receive a fourth rounder from Houston, as well as a swap of seventh rounders.

Fantasy impact
Thomas should see a slight spike in his fantasy value following this deal, while Sutton could have a monster second half as the main replacement for Thomas in Denver. The biggest loser from the fallout of this trade might be Texans rookie WR Keke Coutee, who may not see as many targets with Thomas now in tow.
