BALTIMORE BRINGS IN CORNER PETERS
The Baltimore Ravens acquired cornerback Marcus Peters from the Los Angeles Rams for linebacker Kenny Young and a fifth-round draft pick in 2020.
What does it give the Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore's corners have been banged up this season (especially Jimmy Smith), so Peters should help the Ravens moving forward. Peters joins Smith (if healthy), Marlon Humphrey and Brandon Carr to form a solid group of cornerbacks and slot corners. Peters' arrival could mean that Baltimore may not get Smith back anytime soon.
What does it give the Los Angeles Rams
This is a strange move for a Rams team that is now 3-3 and searching for answers. Trading Peters is particularly interesting now that LA has lost Aqib Talib (the team's other starting corner) to Injured Reserve. Young is an outside 'backer who lost his starting job in Baltimore earlier in 2019 and will probably serve a backup role with Los Angeles.
Fantasy impact
Peters has struggled with the Rams this season, but a move to Baltimore should help him. That said, he is not a great fantasy option in IDP leagues. Ditto Young, whose playing time is now going to be a question mark with his new team in Los Angeles.
