Oakland Raiders traded Gareon Conley

The Houston Texans acquired cornerback Gareon Conley from the Oakland Raiders for a third-round draft pick in 2020.

What does it give the Houston Texans
Houston needed to address its thinning secondary situation, so they moved another high draft pick in 2020 (they previously traded for OT Laremy Tunsil from Miami, which cost them a 2020 first) to grab Conley. He should help deal with injuries to corners Johnathan Joseph, Bradley Roby and Phillip Gaines.

What does it give the Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders decided to trade away Conley despite the fact he had started all six games for them this season. The 2017 first-rounder (24th overall) was viewed as a bit of an underachiever but it is still surprising that the Raiders decided to part ways with a starter with the team contending for a playoff spot this year.

Fantasy impact
There is little fantasy impact here, as Conley is not a recommendable pickup in IDP leagues at this time. He might turn things around in Houston but fantasy leaguers should take a wait-and-see approach with him.
