HARMON HEADS TO DETROIT

The Detroit Lions acquired safety/cornerback Duron Harmon and a seventh-round draft pick in 2020 from the New England Patriots for a fifth-round draft pick in 2020.

What does it give the Detroit Lions
The Lions play the same defensive scheme that New England has been doing for years now, mostly due to head coach Matt Patricia's ties with the Patriots. Harmon is merely the latest former Pat to join him in Detroit. Look for Harmon to play more snaps with the Lions.

What does it give the New England Patriots
Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is known to jettison veteran players when they become a little too expensive, so it is no surprise that Harmon is the latest player to be traded away from Foxborough. New England has enough depth in the secondary to cover for this loss.

Fantasy impact
Harmon did not play enough snaps in New England to become a fantasy factor in most IDP leagues, so this trade could place him on the fantasy radar this season. Keep an eye on the situation in Detroit's secondary this off-season.
