MIAMI MAKES A MOVE FOR LYNN BOWDEN JR.
The Miami Dolphins acquired running back Lynn Bowden Jr. and a sixth-round draft pick in 2021 from the Las Vegas Raiders for a fourth-round draft pick in 2021.
What does it give the Miami Dolphins
Bowden Jr., a third-round draft pick in 2020, is a versatile running back/slot receiver who can also return punts and kickoffs. The Dolphins may be a good fit for him, as they generally lack weapons. He could emerge as a third-down back or slot option in Miami.
What does it give the Las Vegas Raiders
The expectation was for Bowden Jr. to serve a role as a depth running back in 2020. That obviously did not happen, as he was unlikely to crack the final roster had he not been traded to the Dolphins. In return, Las Vegas will receive a two-round upgrade in next year's draft.
Fantasy impact
Bowden Jr. should not be drafted in leagues that have yet to select. In leagues where he has already been picked, he is a candidate to be dropped at this point. Fantasy leaguers should mostly take a wait-and-see approach here. Monitor Bowden Jr.'s progress in Miami.
